William "Bill"'s Obituary
William “Bill” Jefferson Howse, Jr. of Wanette was born on February 13, 1926 in Poplarville, Mississippi to William Jefferson Howse, Sr. and Mittie (Smith) Howse. He passed from this life on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in his home at the age of 93 years.
Bill grew up in Mississippi where he attended the Pearl River Junior College ROTC program and then graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s Degree. He was a World War II veteran who served his country as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force. Bill married Betty Ann Potts on May 2, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They lived in Midwest City before moving to Wanette. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base where he handled the plane flight patterns for the 507th Commanders Squadron and worked as an airplane mechanic. Bill was a very giving man who loved all of his children and adored his wife very much. He was known to be very ornery and funny. He enjoyed fishing, boating, going to the lake, working with Carpenters for Christ, and mission trips to Matamoras, Mexico where he help build a children’s orphanage for 5 years. Bill was a Mason and a charter member and deacon of the Victory Pointe Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his son, William J. Howse, III and wife Betty Carol of Wanette.
Daughters: Lori Cheryl Bryant of Lexington; Toni Diane Ferencich and Mike of Florida; and Betty Carolyn Barnes of Flower Mound, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jefferson Howse, Sr. and Mittie Howse; his wife, Betty Ann Howse; brothers, Harold “Dick” Howse and Farris Allen Howse; sisters, Merideth Harden and Altra Hammon; and a son-in-law, Tonny Bryant.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Argyle, Texas with Bill Howse, III officiating and burial under the direction of John W.
