William "Bill" Russell Riley

William(Bill) Russell Riley passed away at the age of 88. William was a resident of Erin Springs, Oklahoma and passed from this world at his home on November 16, 2020.

Bill was born on February 7, 1932 at home in Sandy Grove, Oklahoma to Reuben Russell and Gladys Riley. The oldest of 8 siblings, Bill spent his childhood around Rush Springs, Cox City, and Sandy Grove, Oklahoma. He graduated from Cox City Schools in 1951 and married Wanda Joy Covel on January 22, 1951 at the Grady County Courthouse in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Bill worked for Marathon Oil Company for 40 years taking his family to Beaver Oklahoma in 1959 and staying until 1997. Bill was also an accomplished welder establishing his own welding business in 1975. After retirement Bill returned to Erin Springs and continued to work harder than most 18 year olds at cattle, farming, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his children: Patricia Ann Pope and husband Roy Pope of Hydro, Oklahoma and Susan Kay Coldwater and husband Dale Coldwater of Erin Springs Oklahoma.
6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters: Lee Roy Riley and Sue Riley, Johnny and Reeta Riley, Mike and Zoa Riley, and Mary Jane David.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Joy Riley, August 2018; son, Dale Russell Riley, May 2019; siblings, Gladys Mae Justus, Luther Delbert Riley, Reuben Riley (Pete).

Masks and social distancing will be in place for the services.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, Oklahoma with Caleb Coldwater officiating. Burial is under the direction of John W.
