Vickie Lynn Kennedy was born on January 1, 1971, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Shirley and Odell “Popcorn” Walker. On November 14, 1992, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Dewayne Kennedy. Vickie passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 22, 2026 while residing at her friend Amanda Lineberger’s house in Marlow, Oklahoma. Vickie spent her years raising her children, rodeoing, camping, fishing, and truly living her best country woman life.

 Vickie loved her family deeply and was known for being very caring and spontaneous. Her favorite color was red, though she somehow always ended up with a black truck. She adored her blue heeler, lovingly named Popcorn in honor of her daddy. Vickie is preceded in death by: her husband Jimmy Dewayne Kennedy, her parents Popcorn & Shirley Walker, first born child Tyrel Dewayne Kennedy, and only grandchild Ty Lee Joe Kennedy. 

Vickie is survived by: her son Jacob “Jake” Lee Kennedy of the home in Marlow, Oklahoma, her daughter Nicole Seaton, husband Jarrod Seaton, & bonus grandchild Carsyn Seaton of Palestine, Texas, as well as her honorary daughters Riggen Sage Putman of Springer, Oklahoma and Amanda Peterson of Marlow, Oklahoma. Other survivors include her sister Nancy Moore & husband Cliff Moore of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, brother Jimmy Dale Walker & wife Juanda Walker of Springer, Oklahoma, sister Sandra Walker and husband Rodney Merritt, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. 

Friends and Family Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.

Vickie Lynn Kennedy will be laid to rest beside her husband at Maysville Cemetery on Friday May 29th at 2:00 p.m. with Mike Johnson officiating. The pallbearers chosen to honor her memory are: Jake Kennedy, Colton Chatham, Erick Rodriquez, Judd Newby, Eli Randall, and Tanner Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Spence, Jarrod Seaton, and Dylan Lineberger. Services are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
