Vance Dean LeBeau

Vance Dean LeBeau was born on May 16, 1939, to Rayford and Marie (Cross) LeBeau at the family’s home in Fox, Oklahoma and he passed away November 1, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.
Vance attended schools at Wilson and Fox Public Schools.  He furthered his education by attending OSU in Stillwater and graduated with a degree in animal husbandry.  In 1960, Vance married Sondra Sue Herndon.  From that union they had two daughters and a son.  
The family moved often.  After graduation, Vance went to work for Humble Oil Company and the family located to Maysville.  Once he became the music director at the Elmore City First Baptist Church another move was in store.   The next move was when Vance was transferred to Lockport, Louisiana where he worked off a boat.  Another move came when Vance got an opportunity to return to Oklahoma and work for a peanut farmer in Alfalfa and Carnegie.  From there came Exxon in Purcell, Oklahoma, Sunoco Oil in Hays, Kansas, and Davis Oil in El Reno.  Vance’s final job was manager at the Oil and Gas Division for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.  After retirement they moved to Paoli before making their permanent residence in Yukon.  
Vance enjoyed singing, woodwork, lawn care, being a gardener, hunting, OSU cowboys, OU softball, traveling, dogs, and most of all being with his family.  He also enjoyed teaching various classes in Sunday School. Vance was also a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Maysville along with many other churches. 
Survived by: his wife, Sue LeBeau, of 63 years; children: Kim and Dan Panter of Houston, Texas, Curtis and Teresa LeBeau of Mustang, Oklahoma, and Jill LeBeau of the home; In-laws, Tommy and Jackie Worsham, Bo and Nancy Shandy; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded by: his parents, grandparents, and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Maysville First Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Gillham officiating.  Burial at the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.
