Ted G. Williams

Ted G. Williams was born on May 15, 1933, in Checotah, Oklahoma to Noble and Oley (Flynn) Williams. He passed away on May 17, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years.

Ted was a 1952 graduate of Hughes High School and a longtime resident of the Lindsay area. He retired as a mail carrier from the United States Postal Service two days shy of fifty years of service. Ted enjoyed serving the citizens of Lindsay and made countless friends over the years. He enjoyed elk hunting in Pagosa Springs, Colorado for 19 years. He enjoyed attending and trading at gun shows and was an avid collector of “things”. Ted had an uncanny knowledge of many things.

Ted was a good friend and will be dearly missed by many.

Ted is survived by: daughter, Tracey Williams of Wayne, Oklahoma and brother, Ray Williams of Lindsay, Oklahoma.

Ted is preceded in death by; parents, Noble and Oley Williams; son, Vincent Williams; and brother, Ron Williams.

Services for cremation are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
