Stanley Ray Spivey

Stanley “Stan” Spivey of Lindsay was born on May 10, 1964 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Junior and Pauline (Martin) Spivey. He passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 in Lindsay at the age of 54 years.

Stan lived in Garvin County most of his life. He married Davon Hughes on May 7, 2004 and in 2005 they moved to Stan’s hometown of Lindsay. He was the Garvin County District #1 County Commissioner and was very helpful to the people he serviced. Stan loved his family and friends and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed going to the lake with Teresa and his family, flying his planes with Team Realm, racing motorcycles when he was younger, collecting and shooting guns, and playing horse shoes. He was a member of the Erin Springs Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

His survivors include his mother and step-father, Pauline and Jack Ince of Lindsay.
Sons: Jake Spivey and wife Amanda Rose of Purcell; Kris Spivey and wife Lauren of Lindsay; and Clint Spivey and wife Holli of Lindsay.
Daughter, Jessica Spivey of Paoli.
Step-son, Curt Tully and wife Kyla of Sulphur and step-daughter, Lacey Hill and husband Zachary of Wynnewood.
Grandchildren: Paisley Spivey, Jolee Rae Spivey, Kirsten Tully, Castin Tully, and Kytley Tully.
Girlfriend, Teresa Fletcher of Minco.
His beloved dogs, Cletus and Allie Spivey.

Stan was preceded in death by his father, Junior Spivey and his wife, Davon Jean Spivey.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church, 13053 Hwy 76, Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Clay Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
