Sharla Renee Shipman

Sharla Renee Shipman of Pauls Valley, OK formerly of Roswell, New Mexico, was born on May 31, 1967 in Artesia, New Mexico to Wayne and Pauline (Green) Shipman. She passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the age of 54 years after a tragic automobile accident.

Sharla lived in Roswell, New Mexico before moving to Pauls Valley in 2018. In her younger years she enjoyed going on adventures. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends having fun with barbeques and celebrating the 4th of July. She loved her Pepsi! Sharla was always so happy and full of life. She had a very infectious laugh and liked to make every one else laugh too. She always helped others in need. Sharla was very proud of being deaf and was a member of RAD (Roswell Association of the Deaf). She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Her survivors include her daughter, Ashley Salazar (Chad) of Maysville; and son, Jason Bowman (Jessica) of Roswell, New Mexico.
Grandchildren: Roylicia, Brandon, Leiland, James, Zayne, and Landon.
One great grandchild, Jordan.
Father of her children, Ron Bowman of Maysville.
Brother, Buddy Shipman (Carolann) of Hobbs, New Mexico.
Sisters: Connie Whetstone (Richard) of Highland Ranch, Colorado and Rhonda Heil (Jim) of Woodburn, Oregon.

Sharla was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Pauline Shipman; and sister, Lucinda Shipman.

Oklahoma memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Abundant Love Fellowship, Maysville, OK.

New Mexico memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Hagerman, New Mexico.
