Sandra Mae Martin, dearly loved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Norman, Oklahoma, on March 11, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on February 5,1944, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to William and Connie (Powell) Adams, Sandra’s journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and a genuine connection to those around her.

Sandra dedicated much of her life to her career at Southern Oklahoma Resource Center, a place she cherished deeply. The relationships she built there reflected her love for people. Her warm smile and welcoming nature drew others in, and she truly valued the connections she built throughout her career. She brought joy not only to those she worked with but also to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Sandra was known for her playful spirit and her knack for storytelling, often lighting up any room with her quick wit and jokes. A true prankster at heart, she had an infectious laughter that would bring smiles to faces all around her. Her passion for fun extended into her hobbies as well; she always enjoyed gathering with family and friends for spirited games of cards, building memories that would last a lifetime.

An active member of The First Assembly of God, her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her and empowering her to share her love and kindness with others. Sandra's pride for her family was evident in everything she did. She took immense joy in spending time with them, and they were a source of strength and fulfillment throughout her life.

In every life she touched, Sandra brought laughter, joy, and an unwavering spirit of love. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, inspiring all to embrace life with the same warmth and humor that she exemplified. As we remember Sandra Mae Martin, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, filled with purpose and surrounded by love.

Sandra leaves behind a loving family, including her sons, Chuck Martin and Marsha of Elmore City, Oklahoma and Carl Martin of Maysville, Oklahoma, daughter Connie Martin of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, brother Don Adams of Maysville, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Nathan Martin, Camilla Degering, Corbin Martin, and Gavin Martin, as well as great-grandchildren: Cameron Martin, Dennis Degering, and Steven Degering.

Sandra was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Connie Adams; her son, Kenneth Martin; her daughter, Judy Arnold; brothers: Troy Adams and Melvin Adams; sisters: Wilma Gossett, Dorothy Dawson, Bernice McCaleb, Betty Cook, and Cleta Adams; and grandson, Douglas Summers.

Family and Friends Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2026, at Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at The First Assembly of God Church in Maysville, Oklahoma. Burial at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral of Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
