Ruby Arvilla Gosnell of Lindsay was born on October 16, 1935 in Purdy, Oklahoma to Frank Lorenzo Scoggins and Gracie Beatrice (Pendley) Scoggins and she passed from this life on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 82 yearsRuby was a lifetime resident of the Lindsay area, graduating from Lindsay High School in 1955. She married Wiley Glindell Gosnell on October 4, 1954 in Lindsay and they were married for 63 years. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family business. Ruby loved taking care of her family and spending time with the grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sister, nieces, and nephews. She was a seamstress and made most of her daughter’s clothing while she was growing up. She enjoyed going to Branson and the music shows there, Fall foliage, soap operas, cattle sales, livestock shows, teaching Sunday School, entertaining others, a Christmas Eve Taco feast every year, and cooking and you were expected to stay and eat if you were there at mealtime. Ruby was a very active member in the Murray Hill Church of Christ. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Her survivors include her son, Tony Gosnell and wife Retha of Lindsay.A daughter, LaDonna Bullard and husband Derek of Tulsa.Grandchildren: Jarrod Gosnell and wife Amanda of Copan, OK, Jesse Gosnell of Lindsay, Justin Gosnell of Lindsay, Travis Gosnell and wife Ashlynn of Lindsay, Tyler Gosnell of Lindsay, Kayla Forehand and husband Chad of Maysville, Odella Keith and husband Brandon of Maysville, Cameron Phillips of Maysville, and Keitha White and husband Alfred of Maysville.Great grandchildren: Kaden and Pistyl Gosnell, Steely Gosnell, Presley Gosnell, Harlow Forehand, Ava and Ella Keith, Gambit, GrayLee, and Kage White, and a baby due in June.Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gracie Scoggins; husband, Wiley Gosnell; a son, Mark Alan Gosnell; brother, Frankie Leon Scoggins; and sister, Joy Christine Branch.A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Winans Funeral Home, 405 Sixth Street (Hwy 19), Maysville, OK.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Murray Church of Christ in Lindsay, OK with Derek Bullard officiating. Burial will be in the Erin Springs Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
