Ronald Lee Coles

Ronald Lee Coles of Lindsay was born on January 13, 1945 in Miles City, Montana to Donald Franklin Coles and Ruth (O’Brien) Coles. He passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years.

Ronald lived in Montana until he was 16 years old and then he moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma. He made his living working in the oilfield and driving a truck for Joe Brown Trucking. He liked to tinker with cars and was a shade tree mechanic. When Ronald was a teenager, he liked to do some drag racing on Saturday nights out on 59B. He enjoyed spending time with his family and doing woodworking. He loved yard work and making sure his yard was well manicured. When Casey was younger, Ronald enjoyed coaching his baseball team. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his sons: Casey Coles of Lindsay and Michael Coles and Sonya of Washington; daughters: Jennifer Coles of Lindsay, Angela Cole and Chris of Foster, and Amy Hatchett and Greg of Lindsay.
Brothers: Phillip Coles of Lindsay, Joe Coles of Yukon, Floyd Burkett of Montana; and sisters: Debbie McCord of Clarksville, Tennessee, Kathy Jolliff of Montana, and Theresa Cox of Montana.
Eleven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and other relatives.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Coles and Ruth O’Brien; step-mother, Vonda Coles; wife, Darlene Coles; brothers, Marlin Coles and Clayton Coles; sister, Linda Parsley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Erin Springs Church of God, Erin Springs, OK with Bro. Doug Brothers officiating. Burial will be in the Erin Springs Cemetery under the direction of John W. Willliams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
