Rena "Loretta" (Britton) Krug

Rena “Loretta” (Britton) Krug, of Lindsay, Oklahoma, was born on November 24, 1941, and entered into the presence of her Lord on November 3, 2026. Her life was marked by faith, devotion, and a loving spirit that blessed her home, her church, and all who had the joy of knowing her.

Loretta was primarily a homemaker, and she was wonderful at it. She cared deeply for her family and took great pride in making a home filled with warmth, comfort, and love. Along with her work at home, she had previously worked in retail and drove a bus. In each role, she gave of herself faithfully and brought kindness and diligence to the tasks before her.

On May 31, 1959, Loretta married Gary Krug, beginning a cherished marriage remembered for its love after a five-year courtship. Her family was her proudest accomplishment, and she loved them wholeheartedly. Loretta was a wonderful cook and seamstress, and she enjoyed canning and gardening. These gifts were expressions of her care for others, and through them she created lasting memories for those around her.

Most of all, Loretta loved the Lord. She was a member of Erin Springs Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery and dearly loved the babies in her care. Her faith was not only something she professed, but something she lived. She loved to win people to the Lord, and her life reflected a sincere desire that others would know His grace and salvation.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Krug; her daughters, Penny Frizzell and Rodney of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Connie Smith and Mark of Lindsay, Oklahoma; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Krug; her brothers, Paul Britton and Barbara of Navasota, Texas and John Britton and Mary Ann of Wichita, Kansas; her sisters, Iva Hodson and Bob of Ozark, Missouri and Glenna Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her grandchildren: Jonathan (Corinna) Krug of San Angelo, Texas, Amber (Ryan) Abney of Purcell, OK, Rocky Don, Jr (Caitlin) Krug of Amelia, OH, Alyssa (Zak) Bisset of Lindsay, OK, Kevin (Brittany) Smith of Lindsay, OK, Kyle Smith (Lindsay Floyd) of Peoria, IL, Connor (Sarah) Smith of Newcastle, OK; and great- grandchildren: Leon & Nora Krug, Rebel, Rocky Don III, Raven & Raena Krug, Chloe, Violet & Luna Frizzell, William & Benji Bisset, Eleanor & Ezra Smith, Amelia Smith. These dear family members, along with many others whose lives she touched through her love, faith, and service, will carry her memory with gratitude and affection.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Rena Britton; her son, Rocky Krug; her grandson, Jerod Frizzell; her brothers, Joe Britton and Cecil Britton; and brother-in-law, Duwayne Williams.

Those who knew Loretta will remember a godly woman who loved her family, served others with gladness, and pointed people to Christ. Her legacy is one of faithfulness, compassion, and steadfast love. May the Lord comfort all who mourn her passing and grant peace in the blessed assurance that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Erin Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Ridgway officiating.
