Pridgett Lavonne (Moody) Turner, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born on March 15, 1948, in Crane, Texas to Billy and Imogene (Downey) Moody.

Pridgett was known for her vibrant personality and zest for life. She had a unique way of engaging with others, often playfully declaring, “I’m going to knock you out!” whenever disagreements arose, showcasing her spirited nature. Her family held her close to their hearts, fondly referring to her as “my favorite Aunt Pridgett,” a title proudly bestowed by her adoring nieces and nephew. She was also affectionately called “my favorite Mother-in-law” by her daughters-in-laws, reflecting the warmth and affection she inspired in all who knew her.

Pridgett's life was rich with hobbies and interests that reflected her lively spirit. A lover of both competition and camaraderie, she enjoyed playing pool with her husband, Augustus “Chris” Turner, and they celebrated many victories in tournaments together. Fishing was another one of her passion’s she shared with Chris. Pridgett was proud of her Choctaw heritage, and she happily attended countless Labor Day Choctaw Festivals with her sons.

Her fondness for entertainment extended to watching game shows and soap operas, while an appreciation for country western music filled her home with joy. Known for her storytelling abilities and playful nature, she brought laughter into the lives of her family and friends, often sharing humorous tales infused with drama.

Pridgett is survived by her loving sons, Matthew Brown and wife, Rachelle and Charles Brown and wife, Lisa, along with her cherished grandchildren, Ethan Brown, Jacob Brown, Brandon Brown, and Cheyenne Lopez, and great grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love and laughter. She also leaves behind her sisters, Pamela Anderson and Sherry Tracy, and a host of nieces and a nephew who will remember her fondly.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Billy B and Imogene Moody, and her devoted husband, Augustus “Chris” Turner.

Pridgett Lavonne (Moody) Turner will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her vibrant spirit, humor, and dedication to her family and heritage will continue to inspire her loved ones for years to come.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma. Burial to follow at Foster Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
