Penny Gail Taylor

Penny Gail Taylor was born on March 11, 1967, in Lindsay, Oklahoma to James Sharrock and Frances (Lail) Sharrock. She passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on September 2, 2025, in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years.

Penny was a longtime resident of the Lindsay area. She worked many years in the nursing home industry. Penny was a loving wife, mother, and Nana. She was so proud of her family, and she considered them her biggest accomplishment in life. Family gatherings were always something to look forward to, holidays spent making memories with her family.

Penny enjoyed reading, fishing, sewing, and black coffee. She was also a big fan of TEMU, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Long John Silver’s.

Penny will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Penny is survived by: husband, Joe Taylor; sons: Cody Taylor of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Brandon Taylor of Lindsay, Oklahoma; brothers: Jason Slay of Enos, Oklahoma, George Broadhead and Kelly of Enos, Oklahoma, and Lee Sharrock; sister, Tina Tackett and Terry of Lindsay, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Braxton Taylor, Mackenzie Taylor, Lloyd Taylor, Colin Taylor, Remington Taylor, Taizlee Willard, Madde Willard, and Shilah Willard.

Penny is preceded in death by: parents, James and Frances Sharrock; brother, Henry Spraberry; and sister-in-law, Bridget Slay.

Family and Friends Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Erin Springs Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Burial at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
