Penny Jean Tarrant

Penny Jean Tarrant of Lindsay was born on June 20, 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Earl and Ruby Jean (Schwab) Potts. She passed from this life on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years.

Penny was a 1983 graduate of Maysville High School and Mid-America Votech where she became a licensed cosmetologist. She was a resident of Maysville before moving to Lindsay 10 years ago. She was a homemaker who had also worked outside the home as a beautician and at the Bedre Chocolate Factory. Family was very important to her and she loved them dearly, especially those grandbabies. She enjoyed cooking for her family and having get togethers with them. Penny loved flowers, gardening, and crocheting. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Lonnie Tarrant of Lindsay and Nicole Gibbon and husband Flint of Duncan.
Grandchildren: Bernie Tarrant, Savannah Tarrant, Delaney Gibbon, Shane Haggard, Jr., and Brixton Gibbon.
Brothers: Bernie Schwab and family; Wilbur Wilson; Tim Wilson (Tamera) and family.
Sisters, Elvira Puckett (James) and family; and Peggy Tucker (Bruce) and family.
Brother-in-law, Marcus Ervin and family.
Special friends, Lynn McCroskey and Teresa Smith, who was like a sister to her.
And a host of friends and family.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruby Potts; son, Bernie Tarrant; grandparents, George and Vera Schwab; sister, Tammy Ervin; 2 nephews, George Potts and Thomas Wilson; and a great niece, Cheyenne.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Abundant Love Fellowship, Maysville with Bro. Danny Gamble officiating. Burial will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
