Patty Linda Lawson

Patty Linda Lawson was born on November 3, 1938, to Roy and Mildred (Moring) Lewis. She passed away peacefully at her home in Maysville with her loving family by her side on October 1, 2025, at the age of 86 years.

Patty grew up and attended school in Maysville graduating from Maysville High School in 1957. She was an inspector for Kellwood for many years. Patty married Tommy Lawson on July 1, 1989, and they were married for 20 years before his passing in 2009.

Patty was a foodie and enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed thrifting and shopping, especially for shoes. Patty enjoyed spending time at the Senior Citizens Center enjoying a meal and fellowship among friends. She was a member of The Daughters of the Nile, LaMadre Mothers’ Club, and a Red Hatter. Patty was a proud Christian and believed in the power of prayer. (For years she and Barbara Levis would meet every Wednesday for prayer circle.) She was a member of The Foundation Church.

One of Patty’s greatest accomplishments in life was her family. She loved them all dearly and was so very proud of them. There was no better time than the time she spent with her family. Whether it was attending a sporting event for her grandchildren or great grandchildren or holiday gatherings, Patty made precious memories with her family.

Patty will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Patty is survived by: children: Sherry Brown of Maysville, Oklahoma, Kathy Caldwell of Kingston, Oklahoma, Cyndy Lawson-Hall and Jared of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Shawn Lawson of Marlow, Oklahoma; brother, Ronnie Lewis and Penny of Blanchard, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Mike Lawson; grandchildren: Tamara Tadlock, Bryant Brown, Jessica Green, Paul (PJ) Caldwell, Elizabeth Herriman, Matthew Young, Robert Young, Aubrey Hall, and Destiny Hall; bonus grandchild, Lesley Thomas; and 18 great grandchildren.

Patty is preceded in death by: parents, Roy and Mildred Lewis; husband, Tommy Lawson; sister, Donna Dover; and niece, Jamie Davis.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025, at The Foundation Church in Maysville, Oklahoma. Burial at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family  on this website.
