Patricia "Pat" Ann LaMascus

Patricia Ann “Pat” LaMascus of Wynnewood, formerly of Maysville, was born on December 6, 1943 in Wynnewood, OK to Mueton and Wanda (Prather) Bostic. She passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in her home at the age of 75 years.

Pat grew up in Wynnewood, graduating from Wynnewood High School in 1961 and attended college at East Central University in Ada. She married Thomas “Tommy” Jay LaMascus on February 11, 1962 in Maysville and made their home there until 2000 when they moved to Wynnewood. They were married for 55 years at the time of Tommy’s passing on June 5, 2017. Pat loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brothers. She worked as a self-employed caterer, owned a dry goods store, was a restaurant owner, and operated a Bed & Breakfast. Pat also worked in real estate appraisals and auctions. She enjoyed catering, people, and traveling. She loved New Orleans, the people, food, culture and the author Frances Parkinson Keyes. Pat was a very civic minded and served on local and regional school boards. She was the first female school board member for Maysville Schools, serving from 1987 - 1998, an OSSBA Representative for Maysville from July 1996 - December 1997, and she also served on the Wynnewood School Board from 2010 – 2015, serving 12 of her 20 years as the District 12 representative to the Oklahoma State Schoolboard. She was a member and leader of the La Madre Mothers Club and the First United Methodist Church. This wonderful lady will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Beth Ann Hammett and husband Mike of Dickenson, Texas and Mike LaMascus and wife Amber of Sulphur.
Grandchildren: Trey, Zach, Sara, Shelbi, Clayton, and Grace and great grandchildren, Tyson, Abbey, and Jasper.
Brothers: Jerry Bostic and wife Carol of Yukon and Joe Bostic and partner Melissa Eaves of Wynnewood.
And other relatives and many, many friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Mueton and Wanda Bostic and her husband, Tommy LaMascus.
