Michael Dean Rushing

Michael Dean Rushing of Lindsay was born on September 20, 1954 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Alvy and Joyce (Stroud) Rushing. He passed from this life on Monday, October 3, 2022 in Lindsay at the age of 68 years.

Michael was a resident of Lindsay for most of his life. He was a man of many trades and he enjoyed each one from running a gas station, driving a truck, and working at the Shawnee Hospital. He loved his family and playing with the children in the family. Michael was a good natured and fun loving person who enjoyed teasing people. He also would help out on the farm quite often. He liked being outdoors, going fishing, and spending time with his friend, Tim. Michael will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his three sisters: Genia Cordray of Ada, Pam Parker of Ada, and Zillah Thompson of Alex.
Nieces, Lisa Bittle and Monica Parker Golden; nephews, Brian Thompson, Brent Thompson, Shawn Parker, Nicholas Parker, Matthew Parker, Ronald Cordray, Jesse Cordray, and numerous family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Alvy and Joyce Rushing; a niece, Jennifer Cordray.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Clay Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
