Maxine Jo Harvey of Lindsay was born on June 10, 1938 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Max Jones and Eleanore (Tea) Jones and passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.Maxine lived in Duncan before moving to Lindsay in 1950 where she graduated from Lindsay High School in 1958. While in school she played a clarinet in the high school marching band. She married Haskell Harvey on July 22, 1958 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay. Maxine was a homemaker who had also worked in the Lindsay School cafeteria. She loved spending time with her family and everyone had to be at her house for all holidays. She liked watching her children play in the band when they were growing up. Maxine enjoyed attending all of grandchildren’s activities, going shopping with her granddaughters, riding in the Bandit Trans Am, being with her friends, and dancing with a small group from Lindsay. She was a night owl who liked to play on Facebook. She loved her favorite dog, Pepper and was known to hand feed him. She was a member of the Criner Southern Baptist Church in Lindsay. Maxine will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Her survivors include her husband of 59 years, Haskell of the home in Lindsay.A son, David Harvey of Lindsay.Daughters: Rhonda Bray and husband Jim of Lindsay; Tracey Halderman of Lindsay; and Michelle Brown and husband Greg of Maysville.10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Eleanore Jones.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Lindsay with Rev. Bill Irwin officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
