Mary Ann Chappell

Mary Ann Chappell of Alex was born on March 12, 1943 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Beverly and Nanette (Smith) Dillingham. She died in a motor vehicle accident in McClain County on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 76 years.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Simi Valley California High School. She married David Albert Chappell on February 23, 1963 in Simi Valley, California, where they lived until 1993 when they moved to the Bradley/Alex area. She was employed as the Human Resource Administrative Assistant at A&A Tank Truck Company in Lindsay. Mary Ann loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, making blankets, and trying her hand at making her flowers grow. She also enjoyed visiting with people and built many relationships with those she worked with. Mary Ann was looking forward to retiring and traveling. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paoli. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include a son, Mike Chappell and Lisa of Alex and daughter, Lisa Foster and husband Pat of Oak View, California.
Sisters: Vicki Jeffries of McKinleyville, California and Janet Schaumann and husband Frank of Largo, Florida.
Grandchildren: Krystle Smith and husband Trapper, Sean Chappell and Dalana West, Mary Foster, Heather Foster, Emma Farley and husband Derek, Amanda Chappell and Lee Tillery.
Great grandchildren: Jaden Smith, Kutter Smith, Deklan Chappell, Madelyn Farley, Aubree Chappell, Clayden West, CamBree West, and Kase Smith.

Mary Ann was preceeded in death by her parents, Beverly and Nanette Dillingham, and her husband David Albert Chappell.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Bradley Cemetery, Bradley, OK with Pearline Perkey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of John W.
