Lucille Gibbons of Noble, formerly of Maysville was born on May 10, 1928 in Mena, Arkansas to Gosto and Lula Helen (Cole) Turnage and she passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in her home at the age of 92 years.

Lucille married Joseph Gibbons on May 13, 1946 in Guadalupe, California. While living in California, she worked as a line supervisor for the John Inglis Frozen Foods. In 1979 Joe and Lucille moved to Maysville, Oklahoma where she worked at the school cafeteria for approximately 6 years. She loved her family and cooking for them. Lucille enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, quilting, playing cards, and garage sales. She was a member of the McGuire Baptist Church, Noble. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are daughters: Mildred Daly of Noble, OK; Judy Fernandes of Santa Maria, California; and Donna Pryor and husband Dan of Noble, OK.
Sons: James Gibbons and wife Tina of Atascadero, California; and Joe Gibbons and wife Maria of Purcell, OK.
Sisters: Beverly Norris of Des Moines, Iowa; and Fern Whitman of McAlester, OK.
14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gibbons; brothers, Leroy, Jack, and Ed Turnage; and sons-in-law, John Daly and Steve Fernandes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 12, 2020 in the Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK with Bro. Ben Workman officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
