Louis Howard Pate

Louis Howard Pate was born on January 25, 1930, in Gotebo, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, at his home in Maysville, Oklahoma at the age of 96.

In his lifetime Louis had various jobs in the oilfield and at one time he ran Mistletoe Express in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

Louis was a loving father and husband and will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

Louis is survived by: sons, Dan Pate of Lubbock, Texas, Larry Pate and Terry of Newcastle, Oklahoma, and Don Pate of the home; son-in-law, Tommy Preast of Maysville, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Louis is preceded in death by: his parents, Henry Pleas and Mattie (Reed) Pate; his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Pate; daughter, Ladonna Preast; daughter-in-law, Linda Pate; great grandson, Corran Vincent Pate; siblings: Catherine Matlage, LaVern Dempsey, William Pate and his wife Marilyn, and Calvin.
