Larry Duane Phillips

March 29, 1937 — May 15, 2023

Larry Duane Phillips was born March 29, 1937, in Tussy, Oklahoma to Jack Jesse and Mary Annie (Tarrant) Phillips and passed away May 15, 2023, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years.

Larry was from a large family, being one of eleven children.  He was a 1955 graduate of Elmore City High School and served his country in the United States Army.  Larry was an electrician at Tinker Air Force Base before he retired.  In his spare time he enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing free cell and spider solitaire on his computer.  Larry loved his family and spending time with them.   His family and friends will miss him dearly.

Survivors include: sons, Jackie Phillips and wife Christine of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Danny Phillips and wife Sherry of Oklahoma City, and Todd Phillips of Moore; brother, Doyle Ray Phillips of California; grandchildren: Ryan Phillips, Kramer Phillips, Brent Phillips, Jordan Phillips and Alyssa Montesano; great grandchildren: Kramer Phillips II, Calihan Phillips and Addalynne Montesano.

Preceded by: his parents, Jack and Mary Annie Phillips; brothers: Jay Phillips, Kenneth Phillips, Gerald Phillips, Thell Phillips and Bill Phillips; sisters, Dorothy Lynn, Lois Phillips, Norma Gordon and Shirley Ann Phillips.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the Elmore City Cemetery in Elmore City, Oklahoma under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.   Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
