Juanita Merle Davenport

Juanita Merle Davenport of Bokchito was born on September 4, 1939 in Jayton, Texas to Wilburn Geron McDonald and Jessie (Law) McDonald. She entered into the Kingdom of God from her earthly home on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the age of 79 years.

Juanita lived most of her life in Bokchito and married Billy Davenport on July 28, 1958 in Paris, Texas. She was a solid rock and very dedicated homemaker who loved her family and spending time with them. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were second to none. Juanita loved her church and being a part of Billy’s ministry as she followed him everywhere. She enjoyed crocheting and collecting angels. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Sister Davenport will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her husband of 60 years, Billy of the home; a son, Alan Davenport and Brenda of Bennington; daughters, Vicky Davenport and Mark of Bokchito, and Nita Jo Ford of Bokchito. Sisters, Mildred Felice and John of Florida, and Dorothy Crowder and Tommy of Unger. 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Jessie McDonald; a brother, Joe Charles McDonald; sisters, Paul Spriggs, Mary Ellen Hester, Katherine Riley, and Norla Pierce; and a son-in-law, Johnny Ford.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Winans Funeral Home, 405 Sixth Street (Hwy 19), Maysville, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville,OK with Rev. James Davenport officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in the Soper Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
