Inez Fern Benthin

Inez “Fern” Benthin was born on November 1, 1932 to Jim and Mary (Young) Woods in Hugo, Oklahoma and passed away April 23, 2023 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 90.

Fern was one of four children and grew up in Eastern Oklahoma.  She attended college for awhile. She was a homemaker and spent her time tending to her chickens and gardening.  Fern loved her family and she will be deeply missed.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Engle and husband Mike of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Grandchildren: Nicole Fillipi, Megan Baker and Sonnie Baker.
Great grandchildren: Christine Mathis, Lillian Savage, Michael Picon and Karter Fillipi.
And other family members

Fern was proceeded in death by her parents and sisters: Lois Cuningham and Ellen Morton; and a brother, Bill Barnes.

Graveside Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 6, 2023  under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home of Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
