Henry Dewayne Sprabery

Henry Dewayne Sprabery of Byars, formerly of Lindsay, was born on October 10, 1965 in Clinton, Ok. to Francis (Lail) Sharrock. He passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, March 28, 2022 in Byars at the age of 56 years.

Henry graduated from Lindsay High School in 1983, and went on to work hard to provide for his family throughout the years. Henry lived in Maysville, Lindsay, and Hennessy where he met many new friends before he settled in Byars to be closer to his children and grandchildren about 4 years ago. He enjoyed many hunting trips at deer camp with the men in his family, and later in life spent most of the hunting season taking his grandkids out to hunt. He loved spending his time cooking outdoors with his family and friends. Henry enjoyed camping and fishing various lakes and rivers with his loved ones. He always had the most contagious smile and made sure to bring laughter to those around him.

Henry will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son Tyler Sprabery and wife Myla Ashton Sprabery of Stratford, daughter Caitlin Hensley and husband Chris Hensley of Stratford, Eight grandkids: Seth Sprabery, Jentri Sprabery, Jaxon Sprabery, KalleeJo Sprabery, Kase “Mavrix” Sprabery, Lyla Sprabery, Livy Sprabery, and Heston Sprabery. His sisters Tina Tackett and husband Terry, and Penny Taylor and husband Joe Paul. His brothers: Jarrel Broadhead, and wife Kelly, Jason Slay, and Lee Sharock, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Sharrock and Francis (Lail) Sharrock; grandparents: T.C. Lail and Lucille(Miller) Lail; and sister-in-law Bridget Slay.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 1, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, Lindsay, OK with Bro. Thomas Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
