Helen Jo Eubank

Helen Jo (Guinn) Eubank was born on February 15, 1937, to Retha (Rosson) Guinn and Fletcher Guinn of Mena, Arkansas. She entered Eternity on February 26, 2026.

Helen was born in the small community of Ink, Arkansas. She was the youngest with an older brother, Don. Helen graduated from Mena High School, then attended business college in Texarkana, Arkansas. Helen worked in the ASC office and served as city clerk for a short time.

At the age of 23, Helen met Bill Eubank of Pocahontas, Arkansas. In December of 1959, the two eloped in Oklahoma. Bill worked for the gas company in Mena, Arkansas while Bill’s brother worked for a shoe company. Bill was hired by the shoe company and in 1965 the family moved to Hugo, Oklahoma. By this time the couple had two children with another on the way. The company then offered him a job in Shawnee where their 2 youngest children were born. Bill’s next job would be managing a department store in Norman, Oklahoma. Finally, in 1973 he was able to purchase a department store in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

From the time they moved to Lindsay the family attended Murray Hill Church of Christ. The church has always been a second family to them. They have served as a solid rock in the highs and lows of life; the joys and the sorrows that are inevitable.

Helen‘s greatest accomplishment was her children. She was pleased that they accepted Christ, that they raised their children and grandchildren to know him, and they exhibit Christian values in their lives.

The couple was blessed with four children. Helen wanted to emphasize the Christian gifts and characteristics God has blessed each of her children:

One became a “healer”. Tammi worked in the medical field as a speech pathologist. She spent many years improving lives and ministering to those with disorders affecting their speech, hearing, language and swallow.

One became a “builder”. Joe’s talent and skills have been a blessing to many. His artistic talents have brightened many people’s lives. His personality has led him to serve/minister privately and quietly to many in his community.

One became a “teacher and a leader”. Mike’s ability to teach and influence young people is a blessing to many. His leadership qualities have benefited Mid-America Technology Center making it one of the best in the state.

Every day Helen said she thinks of her sweet Kelly Ann. Her life was cut too short. She still touched us with her love. She had so much love for others and is missed so much. We wonder what she would have become with her gifts of art and her desire to become a reporter.

Helen is survived by:
