Homer Haskell Lail

August 25, 1943 — April 25, 2019

Homer Haskell Lail of Lindsay was born on August 25, 1943 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to T. C. and Lucille (Miller) Lail. He passed from this life on Thursday, April 25, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 75 years.

Haskell was a lifetime resident of Lindsay. He married Letha Teague on January 5, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma. He worked in the oilfield as a truck driver and mechanic for Hildebrandt and S & H. Haskell’s family was very important to him. He loved his children and his grandchildren even more. He enjoyed spending time with all of them, especially on their family vacations to the lake. Haskell liked to watch westerns and wrestling, playing his guitar and french harp. He was a member of the Lone Star Holiness Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

His survivors include his wife, Letha of the home.
Sons: Dwight “Bo” Lail and wife Lisa of Maysville; Larry Lail and wife Angel of
Newalla; and Rodney McAlester and wife Peggy of Newcastle.
Daughters: Rosetta Lewis of Maysville; Sheila Slay and husband Boyd of Lindsay; and Lou Wright and husband Kevin of Maysville.
Sisters: Evelyn Edwards and husband Clyde of Dardenelle, Arkansas and Linda Manning and husband Don of Kingston.
27 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren

Haskell was preceded in death by his parents, T. C. and Lucille Lail; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Talfey and Rettie Teague; a son, Talfey Lail; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters; 3 grandsons, Rocky Calhoun, Justin Calhoun and Tristen McAlester; 1 granddaughter, Rebekah Herring; and 2 sons-in-law, Jackie Lewis and Edward Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Better Life Community Church, Lindsay, OK with Bro. Danny Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the Purdy Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
