Grady Max Lance of Maysville was born on July 6, 1935 in Bradley, Oklahoma to Beecher and Anna Merle (Nix) Lance and he passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 in his home at the age of 82 years. Max grew up in Bradley graduating from Bradley High School in 1954. He married Amy Stewart on August 26, 1966 in Purcell, Oklahoma and they moved to Maysville over 40 years ago. Before retiring, Max worked as an oilfield truck driver for Vickers Construction. He loved his family and spending time with all of them. Max enjoyed hunting and fishing and his last fishing trip was with his son, David to Lake Fork in Texas. He was very witty and loved to laugh and joke around with his family and friends. Another one of his favorite pastimes was hanging out at the coffee shop where he was a member of the DPC Club. Max was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.His survivors include his wife of 51 years, Amy of the home.A son, David Lance and wife Michelle of Pauls Valley.Daughters: Jerie Painter and husband David of Norman; Sherrie Farrell and husband Todd of Jay; Cheryl Norman and Keith Rogers of Lindsay; Rene Stephenson and husband Troy of Pauls Valley; and Jan Hampton and husband Chase of Lindsay.Brother, Dale Lance and wife Ann of Inola.Grandchildren: Dylan, Dylane, David, Courtney, Katie, Allie, Jake, Christopher, Bailey, Austin, Tanner, Camron, Ty, Justin, Blaine, Jancy, and Rowdie.Great grandchildren: Chance, Tommy, Haedyn, Lilly, Haizlee, and Charlie.Max was preceded in death by his parents, Beecher and Anna Merle Lance and a brother, Greg Lance.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Donetta Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
