Glenda Neoma Parker

Glenda Neoma Parker of Lindsay was born on March 25, 1943 in Erin Springs, Oklahoma to Albert and Lurene Eddie (Johnson) Wood. She passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Duncan, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.

Glenda was a lifetime resident of Lindsay, where she graduated from Lindsay High School in 1961 and also attended Cosmetology school. She married Odell Parker on April 4, 1964 in Lindsay. Her family was very important to her and she loved them dearly. Glenda enjoyed driving and walking through cemeteries working on her ancestry. She was involved in Lindsay 4-H and FFA for many years. She was also a great leader of the children and youth in her church, Cox City Baptist Church. Glenda enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking for her family, and seeing beautiful scenery. She also liked to save boxes and wrapping gifts. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her husband of 58 years, Odell Parker of the home; son, Timothy Franklin Parker and Anita Beth of Lindsay; daughter, Tina Dell Murray and William Robert of Farmersville, Texas; brother, Larry Wood of Lindsay.
Grandchildren: Autumn Nicole Work and Jarod of Lindsay, Aubrey Lauren Dorman and Dalton of Lindsay, Alaina Raeann Gamble and Dalton of Lindsay, Dillon Wayne Burditt and Terra of Omaha, Nebraska, Dakota Franklin Burditt and Tristin of Ben Wheeler, Texas, Kyle Murray and Amanda of Greenville, Texas, and Brandon Sisson and Heather of Jacksboro, Texas. Great grandchildren: Caycen Work, Stockton Dorman, Lindey Dorman, Gatlin Gamble, Felicity Sarver, Avery Sisson, Maddex Sisson, Maddison Smith, Eli Smith, Braxton Murray, Maverick Smith, and Brylie Murray.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lurene Wood; and sisters, Wilma June Linder and Peggy Joyce Manning.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Cox City Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Ince and Bro. Finnis Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Erin Springs Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
