Gladys Louise Wallace, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on January 27, 2026, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. She was born on September 7, 1953, in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Leon and Vera (Brown) Stone.
Gladys dedicated a part of her career as a factory worker at Carlisle, where her unwavering commitment and work ethic exemplified her character. However, her true passion lay in her family, whom she adored fiercely. She devoted herself to her children, Jeffrey, Christina, Dalinda, and Karmin, fostering a loving home filled with laughter and support. Her legacy continues to flourish through her 11 beloved grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way, who brought her endless joy and pride.
In her leisure time, Gladys found happiness at the senior center, where she formed deep connections and shared many cherished moments with friends. Her hobbies showcased her creativity; she had a special affinity for crafting and sewing that allowed her to express her artistic side. Shopping was also a favored pastime, where she would spend countless hours looking for just the right bargain.
Gladys is survived by: son, Jeffrey Dehart of Maysville, Oklahoma; daughters: Christina Edmonds of Meeker, Oklahoma, Dalinda Hopkins of Meeker, Oklahoma, and Karmin Berens and Matt of Maysville, Oklahoma; and sister, Margaret Simpson and Travis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren, with 2 more on the way.
Gladys is preceded in death by: her loving parents, Leon and Vera Stone; brother, Waymond Stone; and sisters, Nellie Duncan, Bernice Green, and Wilma Ledbetter.
As we remember Gladys, we hold onto the laughter, the stories, and the kindness she shared with us all. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be celebrated for the incredible woman she was.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
