Evan Reed Flood, Jr.

Evan Reed Flood, Jr. of Lindsay was born on November 17, 1956 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Evan Reed Flood, Sr. and Delois (Matthews) Flood. He passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years.

Evan grew up in Geronimo, Oklahoma and graduated from Geronimo High School in1975. He obtained his Associate’s Degree as a registered environmentalist from Oklahoma State University. He married the love of his life, Cindy Stockton, on August 1, 1977 in PaulsValley, Oklahoma. In 1979 they moved to Lindsay where they made their home and raised their four sons. Evan possessed an immeasurable love for his wife, Cindy. He also loved his children and grandchildren very much and always enjoyed the time the family spent together. He was a great conversationalist, always visiting with his family and friends. Evan enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson coast to coast with Cindy. He also enjoyed fishing, and watching westerns starring John Wayne and Audie Murphy just to name a few. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Geronimo. Evan spent many years working in the oilfield. He managed several businesses around Lindsay until he started Evan & Son’s in 1997 which is still operating today.

His survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Cindy of the home.
Sons: Billy Flood and wife Shelly of Lawton; Travis Flood and wife Abby of Shawnee; Toby Flood and wife Tawni of Sulphur; and Christopher Flood and wife Erin of Lindsay.
Brother, Terry Flood and wife Lisa of Lawton.
Grandchildren: Braezen, Brant, Brex, Brinn, Colby, Audrey, Jake, Riese, Crew, Edyn, and Emmy.
And other relatives and friends.

Evan was preceded in death by his parents Evan Reed Flood, Sr. and Delois Flood; and sister, Anita Flood.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, Lindsay, Oklahoma with Travis Flood and Gene Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, Oklahoma under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
