Eva Jean Selman

Eva Jean Selman of Maysville was born on April 26, 1966 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Mary Jane (Hurley) Medcalf. She passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years.

Eva was a resident of Stratford before moving to Maysville 15 years ago. She worked as a cook at the Pauls Valley State School until the facility closed. She married James Lee “Squeaky” Selman on June 22, 2007 in Purcell, Oklahoma. Eva enjoyed her simple life and was a great homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, Squeaky and their regular outings to KFC and the casinos. She liked cooking for her family and boiled cabbage was her favorite food. Eva liked playing “Call of Duty”, being outdoors, mowing the yard, and gardening. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, James Lee “Squeaky” Selman of the home.
Sons, Emmett Walker and wife Katrina of Norman and Jason Selman and wife Julie of Pauls Valley and daughters: Melinda Morrow and husband Billy of Purcell and April Walker of Oklahoma City.
Brothers, Reggie Medcalf and wife Pam of Ada; Gary Medcalf and wife Gail of Whitesboro, Texas; James Hurley of Pauls Valley and sister, Myzella Loper of Pauls Valley and 7 grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Medcalf and a brother, George Medcalf.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the Maysville Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
