Edgar "Buster" Ray Yarbrough

Edgar Ray “Buster” Yarbrough of Lindsay was born on January 17, 1946 in Swearingen, Texas to Bennie Lee and Mattie Lorene (Compton) Yarbrough and passed from this life on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.
Buster was a longtime resident of the Lindsay area. He married Onita Evans on July 31, 1967 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He worked as a machinist for B & B Tool Company in Lindsay. Buster loved being home and spending time with his family. He enjoyed working with his hands, such as making small horse buggies for the children, and he took great pride in his work. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
His survivors include his wife of 51 years, Onita Yarbrough of the home; a son, Edgar Ray Yarbrough of Lindsay; and daughter, Georgia Yarbrough of Lindsay.
Grandchildren: Clint Scruggs, Kyle Scruggs, Stephanie Gilreath, Harley Byrd, and Colt Self and great-grandchildren: Brendale Scruggs, Braxlie Burton, Jaxon Gilreath, Jayden Scruggs, Aspen Scruggs, Aubrey Self, and McKenna Self.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Lee and Mattie Lorene Yarbrough; a sister, Betty Anderson; and brothers, William Lee Yarbrough and Sonny Yarbrough.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Purdy Cemetery with Rev. Rocky Keck officiating. Burial is under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
