Dennis Lee Mote

November 30, 1942 — October 5, 2021

Dennis Lee Mote, age 78 of Lindsay passed away on October 5th at the home of his youngest son Matthew, in Covington, Georgia.  Dennis was born on November 30, 1942 in Hobart, OK to Charles Martin Mote and Dorothy Lucille (Ritchie) Mote.  Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Dorothy and an older brother Charles Michael (Mike).

Dennis spent most of his life in Lindsay where he graduated high school in 1960. His senior year, he began dating the love of his life Martha Kay Cutler and on September 1, 1963 they were married at the United Methodist Church in Lindsay.  He attended college at the University of Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1965.  Dennis worked in many different fields throughout his life but spent the last 26 years in Lindsay as a Shelter Insurance agent.  He took a lot of pride in his business because he loved taking care of “his people”, family, and friends.

While Dennis loved to fish, bird hunt, and play golf, his two favorite things were spending time with his grandkids and watching OU sports.  He also looked forward to regular lunches with his high school classmates.  He was very grateful for the friendships he enjoyed with them over so many years.
