Dakota Ray Nelson of Lindsay, OK was born February 6, 1991 in Chickasha, OK to Mike and Ronda Nelson. He left this world Friday September 24, 2021 in his home at the age of 30.

Dakota was a resident of Lindsay, OK and a member of the graduating class of 2009. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindsay and followed in believer’s baptism on July 23, 2000. He had a special bond with his father. Together, they enjoyed football, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed going to fish camp with his dad and buddies.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father Michael Nelson and wife Maureen, his mother Ronda Williams, brothers Michael Schroeder and Brad McNutt (Margie), sisters Tamara Armstrong (Mike), Crystal Johnson (Erwin), Donna Henson (Scott), Amanda Grissom (Devin), special friend Candice Cannon, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Viewing will be at Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, OK September 28 through October 1 from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Dakota Nelson’s name.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Lindsay, OK with Brother Randy Allen officiating. Services are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
