Cledith Mary Forkner Hamilton

Cledith Mary Forkner Hamilton passed away peacefully November 1, 2020 at the age of 94 years with her loving sons by her side. She was born October 30, 1926 to Virgie and Frank Williams. The second of seven children and the first girl. Cledith spent most of her life in Wallville, Lindsay, and Maysville area of Garvin County. She graduated from Hughes School and there she met the love of her life and father of her sons, Odus Forkner. Cledith was a kind, loving, and gracious lady. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ. She had worked at the Pauls Valley State School and Norman Mental Health Center. She loved her home and being a homemaker most of all. Family meant everything to her and she loved them all fiercely.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Kent Forkner and wife Sharon of Purcell; and Joe Frank Forkner of Maysville. Daughter/sister, Janie Willingham and husband Buck of Maysville. Brothers: Curtis Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah; Fred Williams of Dibble; and Stan Williams and wife Cathy of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Grandchildren: Rendi Kelly, Cody Forkner, Desiree Walker, Matt Forkner, Sam Forkner, Marshall Forkner, eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and another one due in April; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Cledith was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Martin and Virgie Mae (Crump) Williams; husbands, Odus Forkner, O. B. Rutherford, and Alvin Hamilton; brother, Kenneth Williams and wife Jo Wanda; sister, Carolyn Henderson and husband Kenneth; and sister-in-law, Loretta Williams.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Becky Thomason, Sharyn Baker, Stormy Carlin, Vickie Hunter, Loving Care Hospice nurses and caregivers.

Masks and social distancing will be in place at the church and cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Church of Christ, Maysville, OK with Bro. Jess Whitlock and Bro. Herb McCaleb officiating.
