Clark Leon McCaskill

Clark Leon McCaskill peacefully departed this world on June 23, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. He was born on July 17, 1938, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Spurgeon Pierce and Olive Marie (McWhirter) McCaskill. Clark was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to the education and upliftment of others. 

A lifelong educator, Clark dedicated his career to Career Tech, where he was renowned for his remarkable ability to reach students in challenging circumstances and guide them towards successful paths. His passion for education was matched only by his genuine care for people; he had an extraordinary gift for remembering names and making everyone he met feel valued and cherished. As a former mayor of Anadarko, he served his community with the same commitment and kindness that defined his life. In addition to a life in education, he enjoyed his adventures owning and operating a steak restaurant, owning and managing an apartment complex, a convenience store, entrepreneur of an oil field pumping business, and a 200 acre ranch in Oklahoma. 

Beyond his professional achievements, Clark found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in driving his prized Rolls Royce. His generous spirit was evident as he delighted in giving rides to those who wished to share in his happiness. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his lovely wife June, their friends and family, to many places in the US and abroad, to sports tournaments and bowl game, river and ocean cruises, including France, Russia, Greece, Germany, England, Scotland, Norway, the Bahamas, including Alaska and Hawaii to name a few.

 Clark is survived by his children: Bryan McCaskill and his wife, Mona Faye, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jeffery Glen McCaskill and his wife, Diane, of Norman, Oklahoma, Sonya Grant, and her husband, Hank, of Norman, Oklahoma, Gerri Bolding and her partner, Zach Barrett of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Kendal Bolding and his wife, Kim of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Spurgeon McCaskill, Russell Sadongei, Kari McCaskill, Kristy Westbrook, Alex Interrante-Grant; and great-grandson, Daniel Sutterfield. 

Clark is preceded in death by: June Bolding-McCaskill, Glenda McCaskill, parents, Spurgeon and Olive Marie McCaskill and grandsons, Joey Dale DeVaughan and Dillon Bolding.

 As we gather to celebrate his life, we will remember him as a man who was deeply loved by everyone he encountered, a testament to his remarkable character and the indelible mark he left on the world. He truly loved the Lord and enjoyed relating the story of Jesus to others. When asked to sum up himself in three words he honestly offered Brave, Humble and Loving. 

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2026, at Maysville Cemetery, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2026, at Crossings Church Chapel, 14600 Portland Ave OKC, Oklahoma, under the direction of Pastor Mike Toombs.
