Clara Mae Hines

June 21, 1918 — November 28, 2018

Clara Mae (Williams) Hines of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Maysville, Oklahoma was born in Lebanon, Oklahoma on June 21, 1918 to John Wesley and Bessie (Shilling) Williams and passed from this life on Tuesday, November 28, 2018 in her home at the age of 100 years.

Clara graduated high school and attended two years of business college before marrying James Lavin “Judd” Hines on November 28, 1946. They moved to Maysville on October 16, 1947, where he worked at the Warren Petroleum Plant in Maysville and Antioch. She worked in the office at the plant for a short time. She enjoyed her flower gardens, reading her Bible, and doting on their only child, Phil. In 2008 Clara moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where she enjoyed life with Phil and his family. She loved the First Baptist Church in Maysville where she was a member for many years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her son, Phil Hines and wife Donna, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, and 5 step great grandchildren.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. “Judd” Hines.

A private graveside service will be held in Woodberry Forest Cemetery in Madill, Oklahoma with John Robert Williams officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
