Buddy Lawson Adams, Jr.

Buddy Lawson Adams, Jr. was born on February 14, 1956, in La Marque, Texas to Buddy Adams, Sr. and Dolly (Driskill) Adams and passed away on April 10, 2024, in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years.

Buddy graduated High School in Hobbs, New Mexico and moved to the Lindsay area in 1981. He was a former heavy equipment operator for Garvin County. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and taking the boat out on the weekends.  

Buddy was a proud Army veteran and was very active in the Lindsay American Legion where he was the Adjutant of Ball-Smith Post 23 as well as the accredited VSO.  Buddy spent many hours serving others and he made countless friends doing so.  

Family was very important to Buddy. They meant everything to him.  Lovingly described as a momma’s boy, Buddy enjoyed taking care of his mom.  Buddy had some friends and family he was very close to.  Buddy loved his entire family and will be dearly missed.

Survived by: his wife, Sondra Adams; mother, Dolly Adams; daughter, Becky Erickson and Bryn of Davis, Oklahoma; step-daughters: Natasha Crapo of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Kristina Cornelius and James of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Ronda Thorpe and Brad of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sister, Dr. Marilyn Hines and Rick of Stonewall, OK; grandchildren: Brooklyn Erickson and Bryna Erickson; step grandchildren: Nathan Cornelius, Ricky Ligon, William Ligon, Everitt Osborn, Kaleb Osborn, Douglas Osborn, and Tyler Osborn; great granddaughter, Kalyn Erickson; and nephews: Brandon Hines and Crystal, Byron Hines and Kellie, and Daniel Hines and Ami.

Preceded by: his father, Buddy Adams, Sr.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Green Hill Cemetery Pavilion in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Arrangements under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
