Brian Akins

Brian D. Akins of Maysville was born on May 16, 1972 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Richard and Barbara (Tate) Akins. He passed away on November 21, 2017 in Pocasset, Oklahoma at the age of 45 years.Brian grew up in Arkansas. He married Belenda on November 23, 1991 in Bentonville, Arkansas. They remained in Arkansas until they moved to Maysville, OK where they have lived for the last 8 years. He was a tireless worker who loved driving a truck, a skill he took great pride in. Brian enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was the proud father of his 3 kids and especially proud of his grandkids. Brian was a practical joker and it was sometimes hard to tell if he was serious or joking around. Brian loved his country and was a true patriot. Brian was affiliated with the Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.His survivors include his wife of 26 years, Belenda Akins of the home in Maysville.A daughter, Cheyenne Childers and husband Jeremy of Lindsay, OKParents, Richard and Barbara Akins of Arkansas.Sons, Richard Akins and wife Aubrie of Maysville, OK; Cody Akins of Maysville, OK; Henry Galaviz of Maysville, OK and Paige Morris of Lindsay, OK.Grandchildren: Landon Lee Webb, Aden Watson, Emma Watson, Shylee Jane Childers, Rowdy Wayne Childers, Kirstyn Dawn Childers, Reagan Jo-Lea Akins, Paisley Marie Perry and Maverick Knox Akins.Brian was preceeded in death by his sister, Brenda Ciampoli.Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Maysville, OK with Bro.
