Betty Joyce Piper

Betty Joyce Piper was born on August 24, 1937, in Dadeville, Missouri to Leroy and Clora (Jacques) Smith. She passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side in Norman, Oklahoma on June 21, 2025, at the age of 87 years.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, going to Wal-Mart, canning vegetables and making jellies and jams. Betty also enjoyed going to church and Bible reading.

Betty will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by: son, Gordon Olinger and Olivia of Arkansas; daughter, Sonja Griffin and Charles of Maysville, Oklahoma; sister, Cookie Smock of Kansas; grandchildren: Aldena, Amber, Corey, Dacia, John, Nathan, and Thomas; and18 great grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by: husband, Norman Frank Piper, parents, Leroy and Clora Smith; daughter, Wanda Kay Royalty; and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma. Burial at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell, Oklahoma under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
