Betty Jo Hudson

Betty Jo Hudson, of Lindsay, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on September 7, 2026. She was born on March 18, 1943, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and lived a life centered on faith, family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness each day.

Betty worked for many years at Eubank's Western Corner, where the Eubank family quickly became more like family rather than her employer. Some of her happiest times were spent with Vernon attending their granddaughter Karri and great-granddaughter Kynnedi’s softball games, cheering them on with love and pride. She found great joy in feeding the birds and caring for her flowers and plants. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan who never missed an OU football or softball game. Betty also enjoyed attending Banner Baptist Church, and she treasured the daily visits and conversations she shared with her friends.

Family was at the heart of Betty’s life. She married Tommy Green and together they had a daughter, Kristi. After Tommy’s passing, she married Vernon Hudson on June 23, 1978. Vernon passed away in April of 2024. Betty's family remained her proudest accomplishment, and she loved them deeply, always enjoying the time they spent together.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Kennedy and Joe of Washington, Oklahoma; her brother, Robert Dean and Geraldine of Guthrie, Oklahoma; her granddaughter, Karri Kennedy; her great-granddaughter, Kynnedi and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and the love she gave them will remain a lasting gift and memory in their lives.

Betty was preceded in death by husbands, Tommy Green and Vernon Hudson; her son, Rick Hudson; her father and mother, John and Nora Davison; her brothers, Charlie Hayes, John Davison Jr., and Delbert Davison; and her sisters, Dora Bell Bassard and Ardith Stinnett.

Betty Jo Hudson will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family, her faithful spirit, her enjoyment of life’s everyday blessings, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2026, at Banner Baptist Church. Services for cremation are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
