Betty Lou Auld

Betty Lou Auld was born on November 2, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas to Douglas and JaWanna (Newberry) Arnold. She was called home by her Heavenly father at the age of 78 on May 5th2024. Her final days were spent peacefully in her home in Maysville, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.

Betty attended Monterey High School in Lubbock Texas until her junior year of high school. She then moved with her parents to Lindsay, Oklahoma and began school at Hughes School in Wallville, where she made many lifelong friends. After high school Betty married RC McCaleb and had two daughters, Kim and Torie.

For many years, Betty worked for Dr. Bruce Varner as an optometry assistant in the Pauls Valley area where she made many friends from the patients she helped. She then went on to work as a secretary assistant for a trucking company in Lindsay and later in life assisted her husband in his hot oil business.

On February 4th, 1989, Betty met and married Wayne Auld. Their home was in Cox City, Oklahoma on a beautiful farm. Betty raised and enjoyed all different kinds of animals, even deer and peacock. Together, Betty and Wayne built a lake cabin where they enjoyed fishing, relaxing, and hosting their annual family fourth of July gathering. Betty enjoyed riding horses in her younger years and was a National Junior Barrel Racer while living in Texas. She made lots of memories riding dirt bikes in Colorado for vacations and also enjoyed visiting Branson, shopping, and crafting

Above all, Betty cherished every moment she spent with her family. Betty was a loving mother and always supported Kim and Torie, loving them unconditionally, and encouraging them to always love each other. One of her best jobs on earth was the job of being a meme. She was always on the sidelines or in the crowd cheering on her children and grandchildren. She was truly their biggest fan. Not only does she leave behind her loving family, but also her beloved “Sparky” Dog.
