Barbara Sue Burditt, 87, graced this world with her loving presence on September 13, 1938, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and she departed this life on December 4, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Barbara embodied grace, warmth, and a steadfast spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A licensed beautician, Barbara spent her career ensuring that others felt beautiful and confident. Her talent extended well beyond her trade; she was also a skilled painter and a talented cake decorator. Barbara found respite and community in her knitting group, The Knitters, where threads were woven not just into fabric, but into friendship and shared laughter.
Barbara’s heart was unfailingly compassionate. She was an active volunteer at First Baptist Church in Drumright and Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she devoted her time and energy with a servant's heart. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and purpose. She cherished studying her Bible and sharing the love of Christ with those around her.
Family was of utmost importance to Barbara. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, particularly her beloved children, Larry, Kevin, and Kim. Her home was a sanctuary filled with love and laughter, and her grandchildren, Taylor, Konnor, Caleb, and Jason, were the light of her life. As a proud matriarch, Barbara embraced her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother to Hallie, Parker, Raylynn, and Serenity, nurturing them with her unending love.
Barbara is survived by her son, Kevin Burditt and Gala of Claremore, Oklahoma; daughter, Kim Smith and Joe of Cushing, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Shirley Burditt of Cushing, Oklahoma; sister, Judy Samples of Corinth, Texas; grandchildren: Taylor Smith, Konnor Lanker, Caleb Lanker, and Jason Burditt and Samantha; and great grandchildren: Hallie Lanker, Parker Lanker, Raylynn Burditt, and Serenity Burditt.
She is preceded in death by: husband, Glenn Burditt; her son, Larry Burditt; parents, Orban and Doris "Marie" Pharaoh; brothers: Bob Pharaoh, CC Pharaoh, and Dick Pharaoh; and sisters: Sharon Roger and Patsy Pharaoh-Warren.
Barbara will be missed dearly.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cushing, Oklahoma. Burial to follow at 3:00p.m., at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
