Annie Mae Hogan

Annie Mae Hogan of Lindsay was born on July 21, 1948 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Walter Lee Smart and Dovie Mae (Portlock) Smart. She passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in her home at the age of 70 years.

Annie attended Story and Maysville Schools, before moving to California when she was 17. She lived in Bakersfield, California until 1986 when she moved to Lindsay. She married William “Bill” Hogan. Annie loved her grandchildren and her dog Max. She would begin her day by reading and studying the bible. She enjoyed watching religious programs on television. Annie had an ongoing 25 year Rummy game going with her son, David. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her sons: Donald Brent Osborn of Oklahoma City; David Osborn and wife Yvonne of Solidad, California; Alex Swan of Bakersfield, California; Robert Hogan of Oklahoma City; and Doug Hogan of LaGrange, Texas.
Daughters: Lisa Swan Berrara of Bakersfield, California and Lee Ann Hogan of Nashville, Tennessee.
Brother, Billy Joe Smart and wife Jeanette of Alaska.
Sisters: Alice Hines and husband Bob of Lindsay; and Virginia Houska and husband Ernie of El Reno.
Grandchildren: Faith Anne Osborn, Jacob Osborn, Hope Garcia, Heather Rollins, Holly Rollins, Summer Harris, Lacey Frank, Adam Brinkman, Kristopher Hogan, Amanda Hogan, Robert Swan, Kathryn Swan, Nathan Barrera, Jacquelin Barrera, Maxwell Barrera, and Kenneth Barrera.
Great grandchildren: David Swan and Conner Swan.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Dovie Smart; husband, William “Bill” Hogan; brothers, infant Herman Devon Smart, Arvel Smart, Sonny Smart, Robert Smart, and Bud Smart and wife Brenda.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Antioch Cemetery with Bro. Eddie Ince officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
