Anna Belle (Bone) Vestle-Jones was born in Maysville, Oklahoma on July 6, 1937, to Henry William Bone and Beatrice Morgan Bone. She passed away peacefully November 4, 2025, at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by those she loved.
Anna was the second of eight children. Helping and caring for others were always a part of who she was. She started school in 1942 at Maysville and enjoyed learning, especially math. In the second grade a new student named Robert Vestle started attending classes and Anna soon caught his eye. Even though her family shortly moved to Paoli the two never went long without seeing each other. They were married on January 29, 1954, Robert’s 18th birthday, and made their home in the Maysville area.
Anna was a hard worker her entire life, starting at a young age working in the soybean and cotton fields. Later she and Robert would take their children and put in long days in the broomcorn field. She was a home care provider, a cafeteria worker for Paoli Schools, and cooked at many church camp meetings. After moving to Corpus Christi she ministered at several churches and was a speaker at numerous women’s retreats. She had a deep devotion and love for her church family at Tecumseh Holiness Church.
She loved sewing, crocheting, reading, and every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Anna blessed many people as a minister and Sunday School teacher. She was a woman of unwavering belief, where her love for the Lord shone through every part of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture and peace in the promises of eternal life. She shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God’s plan.
We will miss Anna immensely but are comforted knowing that those who die in the Lord rest from their labors, and their deeds follow them.
