Alvin Dale Wilson of Newalla, formerly of Maysville was born on September 11, 1950 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Glen Wilson and Georgia (Baker) Wilson. He passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 67 years.
Dale grew up in Maysville, attended the First Assembly of God Church, graduating from Maysville High School in 1968 and attended Murray State College. He was a very accomplished trumpet player during high school. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was very proud of it. He moved from Maysville to Newalla 30 years ago. Dale started working at the age of 13 at the Red Bud grocery store in Maysville. He was hired in 1979 at General Motors and retired with 30 years of service. He married Angela Spillman on September 11, 1998 in Oklahoma City. He had began building his house and when Angela arrived, so did a remodel. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and rocking them until they were too big. Dale enjoyed movies with his grandchildren, watching westerns, HGTV, and Antique Roadshow. He would always impart “Daleisms” - little nuggets of wisdom he shared. He was an avid golf player and enjoyed woodcarving in which he gifted to people. Dale played guitar, loved to sing to his grandbabies, and liked to play silly songs for his friends. He loved Route 44 Diet Cokes from Sonic, chocolate cake, playing Words with friends, an avid OU football fan, and he had taken up the hobby of coloring again. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Daughters: Ashley Winters and husband Seth of Stillwater; Melissa Breding and husband Ryan of Oklahoma City; and Sara Hale and husband Brent of Choctaw.

Brother-in-law, Michael Spillman of Oklahoma City
Special nieces: Heather McMahon and children, Carson and Courtlyn; Holly Frankum and children, Ashlyn and Jett.
Grandchildren: Jerrod Hale and wife Katherine; Mason Hale, Brayden Hale, Teegan Hale, Abby Breding, Kade Winters, and Khloe Winters.
And Dale was very blessed with many cousins he enjoyed fun times with.
Dale was preceded in death by his dad, Glenn Wilson; and father-in-law, Amos Spillman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport and Johnny Tyler officiating. Burial will be in the Paoli Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
