Barbara Jean (Henson) Pruett

Barbara Jean Pruett of Pauls Valley, formerly of Maysville was born on November 5, 1951 in Bakersfield, CA, to the best of our knowledge, to Clark Charles “Pete” Henson and Bobbie D. (Wynn) Henson. She passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years. Barbara grew up in Maysville and lived here until 2012 when she moved to Washita Valley Living Center in Pauls Valley. She was married to Finis “Shorty” Pruett and he preceded her in death. Shorty worked on a dairy farm and Barbara would help him milk the cows. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, reading palms, and music of all kinds, especially Elvis Presley. She was a socialite who liked to wear makeup and jewelry. Barbara will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her brothers: Jimmy Dean Henson and wife Gale of Maysville; Tony Henson and wife Michelle of Maysville; Troy B. Henson of McAlester; and Wade Henson of Maysville. A sister, Judy Mayabb of Maysville. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Clark “Pete” and Bobbie Henson; and husband, Finis “Shorty” Pruett. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Maysville with Bro. Mike Deviney officiating.
