Rodney Lynn Beverly

October 6, 1965 — August 2, 2017

Rodney Lynn Beverly, 51 of Lindsay was born on October 6th, 1965 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Donald Ray Beverly and Joyce Marie (White) Beverly. He passed from this world on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from a massive heart attack that took his life quickly and without warning. Rodney was a resident of Lindsay all of his life graduating from Lindsay High School in 1983. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, throwing empty beer cans at his cows and watching football. His love for football was so great that he was known for dumping girlfriends at the start of football season, just to pick them back up after the super bowl. Rodney would like to be remembered for taking care of his girls and for being the best frac hand the world has ever seen. He liked to boast of having broken many frac "records" for things that they don't actually hand out records for. He will also be remembered for having a sharp tongue and a very quick wit and loved to pick on his friends or put someone in their place. Rodney was a ladies' man and never met a waitress that he didn't charm. He was a generous man with a beautiful heart. He was a one of a kind person, the likes of which the world will never see again and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by two daughters and two son-in-laws, Ashlynn and Travis Gosnell of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Lauren and Michael Carlton of Hendrix, Oklahoma. His three grandchildren, Lex Carlton, Lyndee Carlton, and Presley Gosnell. Rodney was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and one older brother, Floyd Ray Beverly. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, First Baptist Church, Lindsay, OK. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Randy Allen officiating and eulogy by Rick Hughes. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
