Lois Marie Faulkenberry

Lois Marie Faulkenberry of Purcell, formerly of Maysville was born on October 22, 1938 in Stratford, Oklahoma to John Thomas McGreger and Ada Pearl (Marcum) McGreger. She passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. Lois grew up in Wynnewood where she graduated from Wynnewood High School. She married Vernon Faulkenberry on March 12, 1960 in Purcell. They moved to Maysville in 1980 and lived here until Vernon died in 2005 and then she moved to Purcell to be near her daughter and family. She was a homemaker who enjoyed doing cross-stitch and being outside working in her flower gardens, vegetable gardens, and raising watermelons. Lois attended the Oakhurst Free Holiness Church in Criner. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her daughter, Yvonna Baker and husband Mike of Purcell. Granddaughters: Aimee Henderson and Ben, and Michelle Arnold and Eddie. Great grandchildren: Brandon Arnold, Haley Arnold, Tobie Henderson, Kasey Henderson, and Faith Tennison. Brothers: Earl McGreger and wife Priscilla of Slaughterville, and J. T. McGreger and wife Karen of Muskogee. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Faulkenberry; and great granddaughter, Memphis Gail Tennison; and brother, Samuel McGreger. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville with Bro. Michael Salsman and Sister Anna Belle (Vestle) Jones officiating.
